Rumble currently makes two eBike models:

  • The Apex has pedal assist. It has a top speed of 35 mph. It has a throttle that works throughout its speed range. There is no stock way to deactivate the pedal assist. The bike has 5 pedal assist levels.
  • The Air SS does not have pedal assist. It has a top speed of 65 mph. It has a throttle that works throughout its speed range.

Technically both models, are outside the specifications for Class 3 classification.

In practice, if riders, ride at speeds that fit within the limits for Class 3 eBikes, when riding in areas designated for Class 3 eBike use and pedal, they will stay out of trouble most of the time. When riding faster than Class 3 eBike speeds, riders should ride in motor vehicle lanes and adhere to motor vehicle laws.

Neither the Air SS or Apex are intended to be registered as motorcycles. Riders are responsible to familiarize themselves with the laws in the areas where they ride and how they are enforced and ride accordingly.

In general, no motorcycle license is required to ride Rumble Motors eBikes.
